About Me

I am a License Social Worker from CentralPennsylvania. I recently completed a Masters of Social Work (MSW) clinical programthrough Temple University. I work with at-risk adjudicated delinquent youth andtheir families to strengthen and restore the family unit. The families withwhom I work face constant institutional discrimination and I have been fightingrelentlessly to minimize the impact. I have dedicated the past 6 years of mycareer to this and will continue to do so.

Africana Womanism: Reclaiming Ourselves

“Africana Womanism is neither an outgrowth nor an addendum to feminism. Africana Womanism is not  Black feminism, Africana feminism, or Walker’s womanism that some Africana women have come to embrace” (Hudson-Weems, 1993).
