Love your philosophy. My personal philosophy is that a black man that does not know his black/african history can be a chauvinist. But a black man that knows about the real black/african history can not be chauvinist.
If you're going to talk about Frederick Douglass you must talk about Harriet Tubman
If you're going to talk about Martain Delaney you must talk about Sojourner Truth
I've had some run in's with white femenist that was so gung-ho about joining with black women in solidarity to combat male domination. And I had to tell them to slow down and ask them "Do you know how black women feel? "Black women want to stand with the black man not against him.
"For ever black man that was lynched, in history, that was some black woman's child, brother, father, & husband!"
The feminist never thought about that. I just had to shake my head and laugh.
I'm glad that africana womanism is up and running. I'll be telling my friends about your web site.

database that Petraeus himself stated was the best source of information and was verified by two U.S. intel agencies. Petraeus?s data comes from ?Coalition and Host Nation Reporting.? I graphed everything based on eyeballing the data so the numbers are not exact.

Listening and participating in the Africana Womanism Symposium in Pittsburgh, PA last April, 2009... I have found a new home for an African center thought and culture to honor my wife and vehicle to raise awareness to my family. . .

Greetings Africana Womanists!

Africana Womanism: Reclaiming Ourselves

“Africana Womanism is neither an outgrowth nor an addendum to feminism. Africana Womanism is not  Black feminism, Africana feminism, or Walker’s womanism that some Africana women have come to embrace” (Hudson-Weems, 1993).
